Renee’s Tree Service LLC
Exactly what you need at an affordable price.
Renee’s Tree Service LLC is proudly providing high quality tree service for much less than the industry standard. Owned and operated by a retired Marine veteran who is committed to ridding diseased trees such as oak and ash.
About Us
Our background focuses on ridding our community of diseased trees in the elm, oak and ash species since this has and continues to be a serious problem in our area. Currently we are focusing our business in Anoka county, specifically Linwood Township, Minnesota.
I am a retired Marine, and Renee is my wife. I started this business knowing there is a need for tree services in my community. My neighbors in Linwood Township and the surrounding community have diseased trees that need removal. I am also an LLC.
Our area is under a Minnesota Department of Agriculture containment area for ash trees. The emerald ash borer is decimating our ash trees at an alarming rate (brown patches). Once diseased, they must be cut down to prevent further spread of it.
Educate yourself by researching further. It’s here, and we have it. I am a Linwood resident for almost 24 years and the change is dramatic since moving here.
Other trees on the watch list include oak and elm trees. There are others also.
My goal is to ensure that I do my part to prevent the spread of this infestation. I also do this to help my neighbors in Linwood and surrounding community.

Here’s What We Provide
No matter what your needs are, you can count on Renee’s Tree Service LLC for the support you deserve. We see each customer as unique, which is why all of our services can be completely personalized to fit specific needs and preferences. Browse through our comprehensive range of services below to learn more about what we can do for you.
Tree Removal
I provide a basic tree cutting service with boom services (if required) on trees not to exceed 50 feet in height or 32 inches in diameter. Since I do not own a boom lift, I must pass the rental cost onto the customer at $300/day. I can remove the wood and brush, but I encourage all homeowners to keep the wood and to recycle the brush as mulch and leave it on their property.
Additionally, all wood and brush can also be burned (if permitted on your property). The wood and brush are perfectly safe to burn and can be used in fireplaces, wood stoves, bon fires, and wood boilers, to name a few. This is especially true with ash trees (with or without the Emerald Ash Borer - EAB), Oak Trees (with or without Oak Wilt), and with Elm Trees (with or without Dutch Elm disease). Ash, Oak, and Elm are all hardwoods. All other species are at the discretion of the homeowner. Those keeping wood and/or brush save more money also.
I take great caution around structures and powerlines. However, sometimes there is a need for someone with a crane and/or tree climbers. I am just a small tree service company. If I cannot perform a service, I will advise the homeowner in advance and I know those in this business that can likely perform the service. However, you will likely be charged more by others.
Tree Topping/Trimming
I will top/trim your trees so long as the tree(s) do not exceed 50 feet in height. Limbs and brush can be hauled away, and this will be built into the price. I can also chip/mulch on site. Homeowners who keep the brush mulch will obviously save more money. The idea is to recycle back to Mother Nature. I encourage all my customers to do this, if applicable.
Tree Stump Grinding
I can grind your stumps after cutting down your trees or grind existing stumps. I use a 24-inch PTO grinder which has worked very well for me thus far. All grinding is done about 2-4 inches below grade to ensure no grow back. In some cases, protruding roots bases will need to be ground.
Onsite Wood Cutting and/or Splitting.
I can cut trees (existing and new) and existing wood logs to the customer’s specifications. I can also provide wood splitting services at the customer's request. I have a 28-ton wood splitter that does the job very well. Again, I encourage my customers to recycle their wood whenever possible.
Lite Brush Cutting
I can provide brush cutting services with a 4-foot brush cutter which mounts on the front of my John Deere tractor. It can manage saplings from 4-5 inches and any brush under those dimensions. If you have areas of brush on your property that need cutting, this brush cutter usually works very well for the job. It is a very easy way to clear areas of unwanted brush.
Onsite Wood chipping Services
I can chip brush and wood branches up to six (6) inches onsite. Any wood branches over six inches should be cut up into log sizes. The homeowner has the option to keep the mulch, or I can haul it away. If I haul mulch away, this will be built into the price. I have three different woodchippers I can use depending on the specifics of the project. The mulch can easily be used for landscaping and other garden projects.
Storm Damage
I can assist with storm damage cleanup on a limited basis. However, I cannot work on trees on or over structures, especially for insurance purposes, unless preapproved by your insurance carrier. Likely, these situations will require a more seasoned professional with crane services. Many times, storm damage must be meticulously removed with surgical precision. This requires better equipment and labor which I usually reserve for those having such equipment and manpower. If storm damage cleanup services are utilized, I will assess on a case-by-case basis.
Lite Lawn Services
I have lawnmowers (48” zero-turn John Deere and hand mowers), leaf blowers, weed trimmers, pole saw (for lite branch trimming). Long term commitments for lawn services will be on a limited basis at first so I do not get overwhelmed and taken away from other projects that need my timely attention.
